Our Golf
Without tee times, you might think it difficult to get a game together; however, at Bear Creek, it’s easy. Informal groups meet every day and are open to anyone who shows up. Much of our daily play is in these groups, though certainly not all. Of course, you may play with whomever you want, whenever you want.
Those who have reserved tee times for most of their lives may have difficulty understanding the wonderful impact no tee times has on their lives and game. You don’t have to plan ahead. Come on the spur of the moment if you’d like. Want to warm up a bit longer before going out? Go ahead. Change your mind and decide to eat lunch before playing? Go ahead and eat and play a little later. Someone from your foursome is late? No problem, just go off when they arrive. This type of golf is only possible because we have just 250 members, many of whom are non-resident members. It wouldn’t work at a larger club, but it works great for us!
Practice
Range
The practice range has grass tees (none of those rubber mats) and is long enough for all but 300+ yard hitters to use their drivers without putting balls in the lagoon at the back of the range. Unlimited range balls are covered by dues. Spend the day on the range or on the course – your choice.
Walking
or Carts
Bear Creek is designed for both carts and walking. All tees are close to the previous green. Your dues cover as much cart use as you’d like. There are no restrictions on walking. Carry your bag, use one of the club’s or your own push/pull walking carts, or try the '4 bagger' cart that holds four golf bags and requires one driver for a foursome.
